day 3

1.       I wonder if students involve in athletics tend to perform better academically, since they exercise and get plenty of sleep to recover.
2.       I predict children with obesity issues and are sedentary will have a difficult time in their academics rather than the students who are involve in a sport and are constantly moving.
3.       The movie clip does remind me of my class. My class is very attentive and productive after recess. When it is close to dismissal it is very hard to get my class focus and teach new lessons.

day 1

In my class I introduced three icons, which were the Ethics, Pattern, and Unanswered questions. After discussing the icon I read The True Story of The 3 Little Pigs. One example students share about patterns was that the wolf always ran into one type of animal which was the pig. One example about unanswered questions my students share was, “why did the pig lie in the original story?”A controversy my students had was “why did the pig have to die and why didn't the wolf help them rather than harming them. It was amazing how easy you can incorporate the icons in your lesson plans and how engage the students get.

day 2

I feel comfortable with strand 3 differentiations. I have been able to create different lesson for particular groups. I really enjoy strand 1 because it open my eyes. I always had an ideal GT student but realized there are many aspects you have to consider also. I would like to become skilled in strand 1 so I can identify other GT students who are under the radar.
